Moore Charles Greenlee of Woodlnwn states that his blue grass pasture is and has been unusally good this fall. Mr. G reenlee say he has found it advisable to feed his pasture. Then in return, the pasture will feed the cattle and there is where his profit comes in. Farm plans were recently com pleted on the farm of E. W. Grif fin, H. D. Jessup. G. F. Cathy, W. F. Justice, M. L. Grant. Ernest Edwards. H. T. Cline, and W. . Caloway. These plans include ter racing, strip cropping, contour cultivation, establishing perma nent hay and pasture, farm drain age, and seeding wildlife field bordprs. The Catawaba Soil Con servation District will assist these farmers in applying these planned practices. Elbert Wilson of Glen wood re ports that the mixture of orchard grass and Ladino clover that he planted this fall is looking fine. H. H. Bennett, chlpf of the Soil Conservation Service says, ‘‘Con tour cultivation, terracing, strip cropping, and many other practices are used to control erosion and conserve rainfall in the soil for crop use.
